The ice cream guys of Taksim

After the dance performance, we headed back to Taksim for the walk among the Friday night throngs and back to the apartment. I got a picture of women in Hijab getting their makeup done. Seems ironic but I guess not since that is the only part of their body showing. Took some pics of the ice cream guys. Check out my YouTube for this as well. The ice cream guys, in colorful costumes, use a long steel spoon to stir their ice cream and pull it out in long sticky blobs to attract customers. When they get a customer, they pull out a scoop and put it on the cone. They then start a succession of tricks like handing the cone to the customer and using the spoon to pull the ice cream out of the cone and away from the customer. It is very fun to watch, especially when the customer is unsuspecting. When do you see stuff like this in America? Where is our sense of humor?
